INTRODUCING: David DeBellis, Optician

David DeBellis started his optical career at Lens Crafters in 1995 as a Retail Manager and Optician. He left Lens Crafters for a position at Occusight to run their optical department at their Elmwood Ave. location. After 2 years of progressive experience at Occusight, David returned to Lens Crafters as the General Manager of all store operations at the Greece location. David left lens Crafters to return to private practice at Chili Vision Group. In February of 2011, David fulfilled his lifelong dream by opening his own practice, Westside Fashion Optical in Chili New York, which specializes in personal service delivered in a relaxed and friendly environment.

David is a New York State Licensed Optician and a member of the NYS Opticians Society David enjoys spending time at his children’s many sporting events and playing in his Bands, “Wild Horses” and “Last Exit.” He serves as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister at his Church in Spencerport where he resides with his wife of 25 years Denise, and their children Deanna, Gina, Mariah, Sabrina, David and Anthony.


After completing his Bachelor of Science degree at St. John Fisher College (1982), he went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University (1986). Dr. D'Amico practiced for many years in a large group setting in Chili Center, but recently decided to venture back to his preferred venue. On February 21, 2011, Westside Eyecare Associates opened their offices in Rochester, New York (Chili Center). Westside Eyecare Associates is a smaller private office where comprehensive care is delivered in a personal, professional manner.

Since 1986, Dr. D'Amico has been a member of the Rochester Optometric Society, New York State Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, as well as Beta Sigma Kappa honors fraternity. Outside of the office, he enjoys gardening, cooking, horseback riding, and is an active volunteer with the Midlakes High School Theatre Experience, the Ontario County 4-H horse program, and St. Felix Church social ministry group. A lifelong resident of the Rochester area, Dr. D'Amico now makes his home in Clifton Springs, New York, with his wife, Mary, and children Joseph and Laura.
